2005 David McCurdy’s RGS Garden Railway

On Saturday, the 18th of June 2005, a “run what you brung day” was held by OVGRS member Dave McCurdy. In just two years Dave has laid over 500 feet of mainline on his Rio Grande Southern garden railway in Carleton Place west of Ottawa. Most of the railway is raised and the roadbed and yards are built of pressure treated lumber, a time proven method in this area.
