Hello fellas, I’m looking for some used steam sound cards for sream. I have a Sierra Soundtrax, and am very happy with the sound quality. Anybody have anything for sale? I’m visiting in Guelph, from Pender Island, BC. Arnie.

Mornin’, all you freezing folks over there, tac here in sunny East Anglia, wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR/BONNE ANNÉE!

Down to business now. I was recently offered USA Trains Mighty Mo switcher that I had painted back in 2004, after a long life and happy life on a demo track near me. It needs a new motor, some end steps, a side ladder, coupler bars and skids to replace the missing/worn-out items. If any of you have one that is going for spares, I’d appreciate getting hold of it/them in return for Can$$

All the best to us in 2018!!

    tac foley

Edit – USA Trains have come up with a new motor block – so it’s just the add-ons I need now, seeing as how the USA Trains guy seems to have to pay to use words, and left out mentioning them in his resplone.

Anybody into British outline 16mm stuff who needs anything from the usual vendors but baulks at the often horrendous shipping costs, please let me know just in case I can bring it/them over for the 2015 Invasion.

There is a HUGE garden railway show at Peterborough [NOT the real one, but the old-style one they have here in yUK] in mid-April with forty or more trade-stands. Everybody will be there, except our old friend Steve Warrington who died aged 60 back in January.

Does the small interface board for sound you are selling for $15.00 work in conjunction with the board you have to make the chuff work on the K-27.
I am using the battery power revolution, P8, and the chuff board.
    Thanks in advance;
    Doug

    1. The K27 Interface is slightly larger and would cost $20 to cover the additional screw terminals and components.

In the K27 article it mentions: The C2 connector for the P8 has nine wires, but only six of them can be used. In this installation they were:
the orange wire C2:2 for the chuff,
the blue wire C2:3 for the whistle,
the brown wire C2:4 for the bell,
the purple wire C2:5 for blow down,
the yellow wire C2:9 for sound volume down, and
the red wire C2:10 for sound volume up.

If preferred the yellow wire C2:6 could be used for chatter instead of the purple wire C2:5 for blow down.

As this new server and web site software does not notify me by e-mail of any new comments made, you would be better to e-mail me (Paul Norton) directly at pnorton@sympatico.ca.

      Thanks!

I just found out about the OVGRS. I live in Cumberland and would be interested in becoming part of the group. I have a layout in Arizona (winter home) and nothing here.

I am contacting the G scale members. I have a verily large collection of items which are mostly Pennsylvania and Southern Pacific in nature. Others are collector cars and About 200 feet of track. Majority are Aristocraft with some Bachmann. If anyone is interested they can write back to me here but be sure to install the Header ” G gauge for sale”.
For the HO scale persons, I have some old stock President Choice kits also which have never been opened. 5 in total and some old Tyco for the collector.
Anyone who collects Lionel a friend of mine has some old Lionel steam and diesel. Looks like about 2 sets with little parts.
I am not asking an arm and leg for these items. Thanks for your time and hope to here from you.

I really enjoy your website and your members railroads. I find them very inspirational and look forward to seeing them in person some day possibly. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to advertise but I’ll ask anyways. I am looking for a few CNR Aristocraft Heavyweight Passenger cars in G Scale. Would anyone be thinning out their collection perhaps?

    1. Hi John!

Check with John Burden of the Winona Garden Railway. He is a large scale retailer in the Guelph area. There is a link for John’s web site in the LINKS section of this web site.

You might also look in the For Sale section of Large Scale Central. There is a link to that web site in the LINKS section of this web site.
